What with Alien: Earth showing up recently I've been watching all the Alien oeuvre – I've never seen all of Alien 3 nor Resurrection, and after attempts in the last week, I still haven't. I mustn't put words in your mouth – you're so much better with them than I – but I have a hunch you'd agree that the entire franchise would have been best served if only Alien and Aliens were ever made. Alien 3 and Resurrection both look cheap and, far worse, they're boring. How one does that to an Alien movie, especially with the cast Resurrection had, I could not say.
