In reply to <a href="https://unaffiliatedcritic.com/2011/04/movie-review-source-code-2011/#comment-17">scott</a>.

Scott, I seem to be unable to stop compulsively reviewing things now, so I suspect I'll review most things I see for the first time—including older movies, as I get to them. (And I'm sure the urge to write about some classics and old favorites will probably strike as well.)

Everyone seems to have more of a problem with the ending of Source Code than I did; for one thing, I thought a really depressing ending would be more predictable, so I was pleasantly surprised they went a different way. I also think the ending is still fairly ambiguous.

I did see Source Code--in a theater using the new Sony 4K digital cinema projection, with 4x the resolution as regular hi-def--and liked it a lot. Well, except the last few minutes. I agree with most everything you wrote here. It is more user-friendly than Inception, a movie I seem to have admired more than you. (I also agree Inception is not a movie to be loved, and don't think it was intended to be. Movies that are more concerned with ideas than people--as Inception is--are certainly more readily admired than loved.) I had never even heard of Primer. Guess I'll have to check it out. Will you be doing reviews for older movies that are no longer in theaters? I'm sure there are some out there just begging to be written about...

Haven't seen Source Code yet, but I enjoyed Jones' previous movie Moon. And I love movies in this (admittedly very small) genre. Have you seen Primer? One of my favorites.

And I also admired but didn't love Inception. Momento was better :)
